LOHAS (SAPPORO)
After buying myself a pair of snow boots I had a quick look and spotted that Lohas was not far from me. I was getting peckish so decided to stop in for lunch. The staff were lovely and they also had an english menu available. I chose one of the lunch sets and it was delicious. Super tasty and filling.
MICHIRU KITCHEN (SAPPORO)
After walking about in the snow checking out the Sapporo snow festival at night it was nice to duck into this cute warm venue for a nice meal. They gave me a little cup of veggie/tomato soup while I waited for my curry to arrive. The staff were great and very helpful. The place itself is down some stairs and only has a few tables. It’s very cute. The curry was really nice, good flavours and so filling. I ordered chips too out of excitement but I was really struggling to eat them after devouring the curry and rice.
VEGAN RAMEN (ASAHIKAWA)
As I was heading back towards my hotel from checking out the Snow Festival I came across this vegan ramen joint. I’m pretty sure this was my first ramen experience in Japan, as I don’t believe I had 10 years ago. It was so filling and the woman running the place was lovely. There was an english menu available and so many options to choose from. There were different bases and strengths that you could pick from. I was really glad to have come across here, and it certainly warmed me up after being out in the snow for a few hours.
TAOM (HAKODATE)
After checking out the sights from Mt. Hakodate I checked out Taom in town. The woman running the place was super friendly and we had a really great chat. So this place certainly got extra points for friendly and helpful staff. The food was great and I also picked up some of the biscuits that were available to take away with me for my train ride the next day. The lunch plate was tasty and filling. The place itself is super cute (it’s the feature image for this post).
